Description
This video was produced for a Peterson Museum party for viewing by invited guests, honoring the INDY car builders from Los Angeles. During the late fourties, fifties, and sixties the video highlights INDY 1950 through 1960, includes: 1953 Hoosier 100, 1951 Langhorne, Bettenhausen, Nazaruk, and McGrath interview. 1955 Langhorne, Johnny Thomson takes a spectacular spill. 1962 Milwaukee 100, see Donnie Davis lead teh race in his Chevy powered car, holding Foyt off until a tire blows. Great in-car footage riding with Billy Vukovich in his first championship race at P.I.R. Watch as he follows Dick Atkins in the old Aggie 98. See Foyt win the 1965 Springfield 100 and the next day the same car went to Milwaukee and set fast time in his dirt car and finish second against the best rear engine cars.
