The Thanksgiving Night Midget Grand Prix, now called Turkey Night is the third oldest race in the United States behind the Indianapolis 500 and the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Some other tracks, notably Southern Ascot, put on a Thanksgiving Turkey sweeps but they never caught on. In !976 it was brought back to Ascot and renamed The Turkey Night Grand Prix. When Ascot closed in 1990, it's last race was Turkey Night.
