Art Pollard's story deserves to be sold- beginning with his boyhood years to his untimely death in 1973. From a small hydroplane on Oregon's Umpqua River to racing micro-midgets and modified stock cars on a local track in Roseburg, Oregon. A popular super-modified champion in the Western United States and Canada in the 1960's- then advancing to the United States Auto Club's Championship Car Series and reaching the pinnacle of racing at the famed Brickyard in Indianapolis, Indiana. For some, Art may be just one more racing statistic- but for many others he was so much more.
